About Puma
PUMA SE is a multinational company headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Germany. The company was founded in 1948 by Rudolf Dassler, who had earlier founded a company with his brother but they soon parted ways, each doing his own business. PUMA has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FWB) since 1986. From the 1996s onwards, it expanded its operations in the US by owning 25% of the American sportswear brand for basketball and football. Since 2007 the company has been part of the French Kering group. In 2011 the legal form of PUMA AG Rudolf Dassler Sport changed to PUMA SE. The company produces sports products for sports such as basketball, football, athletics, golf and motoring. Puma has collaborated with top athletes and singers such as Rihanna, while at the same time collaborating with houses such as Sergio Rossi, Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen and Mihara Yasuhiro, also making lifestyle products.
